IUP's Criminal Justice Training Center offers programs such as:
 

• Mandated Act 120 courses toward police officer certification.
• Act 235 required classes for private security officers, permitting them to carry firearms and other weapons while on duty.
• Act 67 subjects related to school-based law enforcement.
   

IUP's Center for Emergency Services Training offers:
 

• Emergency Medical Technician
  Primarily designed for future EMS personnel but are appropriate for anyone who may respond to emergencies, including fire/rescue personnel, nurses, coaches or athletic trainers, safety professionals, and others. Students will complete required courses online and attend skill labs on scheduled days.
   
• Paramedic
  Primarily designed for future EMS personnel, but it is appropriate for anyone who may respond to emergencies, including fire/rescue personnel, nurses, coaches or athletic trainers, safety professionals, etc. Prerequisite: Students must be certified emergency medical technicians.
